What is a complete website overhaul and rebrand without the inaugural blog post, am I right?

Truthfully, I decided it was time (and long overdue) to update my website and tailor it to who I have evolved into as a person, a creative, and a professional over the last year. It is no secret that 2020 was, among other things, a chaotic and taxing year for a variety of reasons. It thrust those of us with glaring self-awareness into the gravitational pull of existentialism and caused us to re-evaluate what it is we really want and need.

What I have landed on after several months of isolation and hours of therapy, Netflix, and Ben & Jerry’s, is that I need to move to New York City.

Well, that, and that I think coming out the other side of a global pandemic and a year fraught with social and political upheaval, has led me to realize that I could really use a fresh start somewhere new.

There’s a very clearly defined order of operations that need to occur in order to make this happen. First, I need to procure the job, then I’ll need to find an apartment, and then from there, it’s selling nearly all of my worldly possessions (in addition to relocating, I’m also reinventing myself as a minimalist - do we think it will work? Stay tuned) and then it’s just grabbin’ the cat and headin’ East (and, hopefully, leaving COVID and all of its trauma in the rear view).

Here on the blog, you can expect to find updates about my job search, the apartment hunt, creative projects I’m working on, reviews of whatever products/brands/Netflix series I happen to be currently obsessed with, and, lets be honest, probably a lot of updates and photos of my cat, Pepper, too.

I truly cannot put into words the excitement I feel around this relaunch of my website, brand, and…. life?
